Vivaldi: Bajazet (Erato)
(Déjà Review) The best of the best in terms of Neapolitan-style opera – tuneful, virtuosic and passionate. Virtually every number in this recording is a highlight [JPJ]
Witt: Orchestral Music (Naxos)
(Déjà Review) The Naxos tradition of bringing the obscure to light has paid off in this recording [JPJ]
Spohr: Violin Concertante 1 & 2 (Naxos)
(Déjà Review) A fine and satisfying recording of music which, if hardly outstanding, has strong merits [JPJ]
JC Bach: Opera arias (Virgin Classics)
(Déjà Review) The London Bach’s operatic output has been woefully neglected … heard here performed with precision and dramatic tension {JPJ]
Boccherini: Symphonies & Cello Concerto (cpo)
(Déjà Review) Packed with immediately appealing music by a sadly neglected composer [JPJ]
Offenbach: Orphée aux Enfers (Warner Classics)
(Déjà Review) Singers who know how to sing Offenbach and to act it [JPJ]
